The Dubai Teaching Licence Process

To obtain a teaching license from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai, you will need to follow the below steps:

  1. Meet the eligibility requirements: To apply for a teaching license in Dubai, you must have a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field of study, such as education or the subject you want to teach. You must also have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in the same subject or field.

  2. Complete the application: You can apply for a teaching license through the KHDA website. You will need to provide information about your educational qualifications, work experience, and other relevant details.

  3. Submit the required documents: Along with the application form, you will need to submit copies of your educational certificates wihich must be legalisaed and attested, work experience letters, and a passport-sized photograph.

  4. Pass the professional skills tests: You will be required to pass the professional skills tests in English and Arabic languages, as well as the subject knowledge test for the subject you want to teach. This is not required if you are a native speaker.

Receive your teaching license: If you are successful in the interview, you will be granted a teaching license by the KHDA.
